ABOUT US
Finally, a system designed BY LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSIONALS, FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSIONALS is now available for your interview rooms.
Many states are beginning to REQUIRE that recording systems be in operation during the interrogation process. iRecord provides an easy-to-use, reliable way to capture a record of your interviews that will last indefinitely because your audio and video is stored on hard drives and CD/DVD recording media.
Why you MUST replace your existing VHS tape system
Do you already have an analog (VHS tape-based) recording system?
VHS tapes are hard to search for specific content and are cumbersome and unstable to store. In fact, VHS players may no longer be available in a few years. Now is the time to future-proof your process of recording your interrogations and interviews.
How iRecord makes retrieval of recordings simple.
Our powerful Evidence Vault technology lets you find specific portions of audio and video simply without time consuming fast forwarding and rewinding. Furthermore, copies of DVDs can be made quickly and easily to share with other departments and individuals.
During the past 20 years, the use of audio and video recording by law enforcement agencies has steadily increased. According to a recent survey, 51% of U.S. law enforcement agencies began using video during the past 10 to 15 years, and 31% started using it during the past five years. Many police/sheriff’s departments now require officers to create audio/video records of interviews, traffic stops, DUI tests, polygraphs and other encounters with the public because it increases officer safety and decreases unsubstantiated claims of mistreatment and abuse. Studies have proven that when people are aware they’re being audio/video recorded, they’re less likely to assault an officer, drive recklessly or claim they were the victim of discriminatory or abusive treatment. According to a survey by the International Association of Police Chiefs (IAPC) of over 3,000 officers who use audio/video recording, the majority reported that having an audio/video record ultimately cleared them of accusations of wrongdoing.
